BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Garden Festival site 1989, Gateshead

In the form of a statue of a man holding a page of a railway timetable which he holds in the other hand. The page acts as the pointer of the gnomon. Hour markers are in the form of pages scattered around the figure. Constructed for British Rail. Fixed gnomon position - may possibly be an horizontal dial with the arm as the gnomon. May have been moved. More information requested.
