BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Leonard’s Parish Church, Southminster

Shows 6am to 6pm in 30 and 15 mins. Iron strip gnomon with horizontal ’S’ supporter. Brass dial plate on marine plywood. Shows 6am to 6pm in quarter hours. No specific half hour markers. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals aligned vertically. Dial canted out on the lhs to face South. Dial installed by Alexander Scott (Nelson’s chaplain and father of Mrs Gatty). The dial was restored and re-installed, May 2010, after being brought down in earlier storms (ca 2005/2006).
