BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Parish Church, Bishops Stortford

Located on Eastmost crenellation of South wall of Nave so as to be visible from the old Vicarage. Thin, bent, iron rod gnomon. Date on dial is 1798. Two sets of (Churchwarden’s?) initials - WM & AM . Vertical Roman hour numerals VI - noon - IIII - V with cross patty for noon. Half and quarter hour divisions.
