BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

The dial is on the front of the house and was made by an earlier owner using nine white tiles, each 6" square, with a thin yellow border and black figures. The owner (in 1991) planned for a gnomon replacement but this was not evident by 2004. The dial shows 6am to 6pm in hours, with no subdivisions. It features a smiling sunburst, with the motto below reading: "Omnia tempus labent".
