BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cornwall

The granite pillar on which this bronze dial stands is about 1500 high, and bears the date 1770 carved in relief. The dial plate is inscribed ’R. Wills, Truro fecit’. It shows the hours IIII to VIII subdivided down to intervals of 5 minutes. These divisions are absent mindedly continued through the gnomon gap at noon.
