BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Ashley House, Croscombe

The dial has a moulded surround and is set into the stonework between two first floor windows at the front of the house. It is visible from the A371 road. Not easy to discern but believe a cross is used for Noon and IIII for 4pm. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours, half-hours and quarters. Markers point inwards and have no endings. There is an arc around the gnomon root with date above. The iron gnomon has a single integral support strut. A quadrant between the style bar and the support appears to be pierced with a small hole.
