BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cheshire

The dial is on an elegant vase-shaped stone plinth on a circular step. It uses Roman numerals for 4am to 8pm, divided to 7.5 minutes. There is circle decoration at the centre of the plate, and it is inscribd ’Jos. Mousdale / Tho. Chamberlane / 1730’. The plate is damaged and the names are hard to read. The gnomon is intact.
