BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is fixed above the clerestory windows at the west end of the south wall, sitting on a stone shelf which is canted out on the right hand side so that the dial can face due south, and is there supported by a single stone corbel. The date ’1809’ is in an arch at the top of the dial plate, but the maker is not known. The dial is slate and the gnomon iron, with nice gold numbers. The hours use Roman numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, with no hour lines but divided to quarter hours in a narrow chapter ring. A noon gap is left to allow for the width of the fairly substantial gnomon.
