This west-declining vertical stone dial, made by Hutchinson, Rattee and Kett, is high on the western end of the south wall of the Dining Hall. The initials of its donor, A H Lloyd, appear on the western corbel and the eastern corbel bears its date of 1927. The dial plate contains decorative carvings and the motto ’SIC TRANSIT GLORIA MUNDI’. The simple rod gnomon is of brass. This dial is well maintained and in excellent condition.
