BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Strathclyde Region

The dial plate is set in a new square greystone block mounted on an older yellow sandstone circular slab, supported by three charming lead putti which stand on two stone steps. The dial looks old; it has an open-work metal gnomon. Ref: A R Somerville, personal file
