BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Cleuch (1), Twynholm

Slender gnomon. Hour lines made of brass tube covered in plastic to allow wall repainting. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p69 (E14). George Higgs, a well known sun dial designer, lived in this house and installed this sun dial in the cottage gable end.
