BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Threave Garden [NTfS] (1), Castle Douglas

The dial was on a moulded baluster on an octagonal base set in a cobbled star in a paved area, but it was in storage in 2000 pending reconstruction of the formal garden. Ref: A R Somerville, personal file.
