The support is a stone block about 450 high set at 45° on a square stone step. The dial is an octagonal block with bowl hollows N, S, E and W marked with hour and half and quarter hour lines, and vertical dials NE, NW, SE and SW, the latter two also showing declination lines, signs of the zodiac, and points of the compass. Numbers and lines are very clear but many gnomons are distorted. There is a loose brass octagonal horizontal on top with minute divisions. A R Somerville, personal file.
