BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Parish Church, Rutherglen

A cube dial with four dial faces with a pyramid cap sitting on top of the Kirk Port (the entrance archway to the churchyard). Complete open metal gnomons exist on the N,S and W faces. The E face has a stub only. All numerals are Arabic. The S face has 6am to 6pm and is badly flaking. The W face is virtually all flaked. The N face has 5pm to 8pm and 4am to 7am, and the E face has some numerals but they are hard to make out because of flaking. The dial is dated 1679 on top of the S face, but was placed on top of the Kirk Port in 1879. Its previous location is unknown.
