BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Rutherglen Museum (1), Rutherglen

This is a very damaged facetted octagonal block with 8 polar hemicylinders round the sides. There is a large bowl hollow on top. Hour lines are marked in the E, S and W hemicylinders and the bowl hollow. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p62 (E7).
