BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

The dial stands on a piece of stone in front of the house. It is a diptych with SE and SW dials. Hour lines and upright Arabic numerals are clear; there are no gnomons. There is a cherub’s face and decorative foliage around the top edges, and the initials ’A I’ appear.
