BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

A composite dial of (1) a polyhedron with 24 faces (octagons N, S, E & W with bowl hollows and square sloping facets above and below, alternating with 4 small verticals with hexagonal facets above and below) - dials on all surfaces including horizontal; (2) lower octagonal collar with 8 vertical dials; (3) cubic block with S facing dial and a very worn equation of time. 34 dials in all. The dials are marked for places around the world - Boston, Troy, Athens, Halifax, Samaria, Cairo, Rome, Charleston, Havanna, Martinice, Howes, ninevah, Damascus, Constantinople, London, Dublin, Cape ...EAT, Kingston Jamaica, Pekin China, Mount Sinai, Jerusalem.
