BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Fife

This is a cross dial, dismounted from its plinth. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p28 (C1). Frank Coe reported in April 99 that he had learned from the farmer that the dial had been smashed by vandals c1989.
