BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Frenchman’s Row above alleyway, Throckley

This dial is a replacement for one of 1802. Between 1996 aqnd 1802 refugee clergy from France occupied a row of houses here. They received a small pension from the British Government and on departure they donated the dial in gratitude. The houe next door was recently a pub called "The French Arms".
