BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial House, Gillamoor

This cube dial has four direct faces and a square horizontal on the top side, all five gnomons being present. The EoT is carved around the sloping sides of the circular stone collar on which the cube is mounted. This in turn is supported by a circular column, probably the base of a mediaeval cross. Around the column is carved ’Erected by Subscription’, and across the top of the north dial is ’F Rusfell sculp---’. Held over all on ironwork is a globe with lines of latitude and longitude.
