BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Lawrence’s Church; above porch door, Pittington

This wholly eroded dial will be seen by visitors to the Anglo-Saxon dial on the church. It is much younger than that dial, probably less than half its age, and shows how the quality of the stone can influence a dial’s survival.
