BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Wallington Hall [NT] (1), Morpeth

The dial is on the lawn near the rear entrance to the house. EOT, compass. Roman numerals 4am to 8pm, with 30, 15, 10 and 5 minute intervals. Well engraved. Inscribed ’B Winter, 21, Grey Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne’. Mounted on downward tapering fluted square section pedestal 1200 high with around the top : ’Horas non numero nisi serenas CET 1883 EAT’ (CET and EAT believed to refer to Charles and Elenora Trevelyan).
