BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of St Mary the Virgin, Lynton

The church is on the cliffs overlooking the sea and on its porch is a slate dial which is cracked across its lower left hand corner. It is canted West from the wall and it shows VI - VI undivided. There are eroded decorative features in the top corners and a sun face surrounds the gnomon root. The hour lines from IX - III are doubled, the remainder being single lines. It measures 450mmw x 610mmh.
