BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Ardencote Manor Hotel, Claverdon

The dial is set onto brickwork on the south-east face of the building, below the level of the eves. It is not now fully visible, due to the sun-roof extension built on to this section of the building, and directly below the dial. The words ’Monet annus et almum quae rapit hora diem’ are cut around three sides of the dial. It shows hours 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, with 10.30, 11.30, 11.45 and 12.15.
