BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is in a private part of garden. It stands on a compound plinth - a decorated cube on a circular section baluster with bulging central ribbed portion. The substantial hexagonal dial plate looks like slate in the photograph but was described as bronze in the report. It is marked with the latitude of 50’ 56". The gnomon has a delicate infill possibly representing a flower bud and leaves. It may be a modern copy of an original gnomon (compare SRN 8544, also by D Wilson).
