BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

The dial is on the portico of the front door. It has upright Roman numerals VII - XII - IV - V, and is divided to half hours. On a ribbon across the top is the motto ’Respici Auspici Prospici’ (Look back, Look, Look forward), and on either side of a star at the gnomon root are large coloured angelic wings.
