BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Prospect House, Hexham

The dial is hard to find; it is at the rear of the house, down a small flight of stairs and in a dead end. The date is 1726 or 1728 (the top right corner is missing). There is a square with the initials ’E. B.’. The dial has Roman numerals for 9am to 6pm with noon marked as ’]-C’. Photograph requested.
