BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

All Saint’s Church, Dewlish

The dial is a grey limestone slab inset high on the south face of the tower, below the window. It shows 8am to 7pm in hours. The gnomon is missing. The declination, deduced from limiting hours, is at least 22degs west. The motto across the top reads: ’Ut Umbra Sic Vita’, with initials ’A R’ in the right and left corners, and the date 1671 centrally just below.
