BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Andrew’s Church, West Chelborough

The tower of this lovely small isolated church was built in 1638 and the dial is probably contemporary. It is described in a church leaflet as ’primitive’, but it is a perfectly good vertical east dial. It is held to the eastern wall of the tower by iron dog nails, about 3600 above ground level. The gnomon may be a replacement, and is probably of steel.
