BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Mottisfont Abbey [NT], Romsey

The dial is in the rose garden. Blue rings with gilded décor and with rosettes at band intersections. Shows time in half and quarter hours. Rod gnomon yet has an inappropriate noon gap in the time scale so displayed time may be in error. Upwards arrow gnomon with flight and head. Bell shaped base set on cylindrical stone column. Recently repainted as at 2007.
