BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The dial is secured by three iron clamps. It was damaged by power hosing to the wall in the late eighties - the bottom left corner is cracked, and the gnomon was loose in 1991. It shows 6am to 6pm in half hours, and has the date at the top with some unclear marks to its left. The dial has a green painted gnomon.
