BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The inscription reads: "Robt Burrow Jnr Fecit 1758". The dial shows 4am to 1pm in hours, and a gnomon gap appears to be inscribed at 7am. There are two ’Hutton Roof’ villages in Cumbria, this is the one near Kirkby Lonsdale. The design latitude is N5415.
