BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St. Andrew’s Church, Longtown

The sundial is a memorial on the SE face of the bell tower. It is inset in the ashlar stone of the cupola supporting the tower, with an inscription in the periphery stone. The motto reads: "Lux Post Umbram", and the Inscriptions are: "Thanks be to God alone" and "For our two dear sons FFG & RPG who lived to come home from the Great War". Dedicated to the Graham family of Netherby.
