BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

All Saints’ Church, Frostenden

The sundial is supported by a shelf over the entrance to the south porch. It has a breakarch top, with the motto ’Vigilate et Orate’ in the arch, and a solid gold sun (possibly a brass or copper plate) below at the gnomon root. The hours shown are VI - XII - IV - V, divided to half and quarter hours, the ’VI’ for 6pm being mssing. The rod gnomon has a turned-up tip and a single straight rod support. The dial was in good condition in 2020, with just some slight fading of the paintwork - it would appear to have been restored some time after 2003, when the paint was peeling.
