BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Peter’s Church, Sudbury

Bronze sundial mounted above pedemented banding over South porch. The hours are shown from 6am to 6pm, using Roman numerals. The metal strip gnomon is slightly bent upwards. A motto on the backing stone reads: "The Lord’s name is praised from the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same" and that on the two supporting corbels: "Ut Umbra - Sic Vita".
