BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

This is a remote dial on a minor Lake District road. Numerals on outside of time ring rather than in a chapter ring. Date 1635. Sited on a square stone built column erected or reconstructed in 1961 as a war memorial to a Col. Lynn of 13th Co. Lancers, Indian Army, died 1961.
