BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Wakehurst Place [NT] (1), Haywards Heath

The dial is in the courtyard of the house. The motto reads: "Night Cometh". Shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. Split noon line. Uses XII & IIII. Strange through plate fixing for gnomon which has an ’S’ shaped supporter. 3-hole fixing. Numerals read from outside. Double inner circle around gnomon root. Spirally fluted baluster pedestal is of Shelley limestone 1220h.
