BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John the Baptist’s Church, Colsterworth

Inside, behind organ. The dial is mounted (upside down) inside the church, on the wall behind the organ. The alabaster surround is engraved ’Newton : Aged 9 years : Cut with his penknife this dial : The stone was given by C Turnor Esqre and placed here at the cost of the Rt Hon Sir William Erle a collateral descendent of Newton. 1877’ .
