BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

The dial is in the rear garden. The wrongly positioned gnomon may be a replacement for the original. There is no divided noon despite gnomon’s thickness. XII for Noon, IIII for 4am and pm. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 minute intervals. Mounted on a shallow fluted, cylindrical, column with an ionic capital 300 square, four hole fixing
