BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Merton College (3), Oxford

In the Fellows’ Garden is an armillary sphere which was presented to the college by George Tierney in 1830. It shows the hours 4am to 8pm divided into halves by lozenge shaped markers. It measures 780mm in diameter and is mounted on a bell support on a panelled stone pedestal 400mm square.
