BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John’s Church, Stoke by Clare

Painted wooden sundial made from seven horizontal boards and mounted on a buttress of the tower. The dial shows the time from 5am to 6pm in 30, 15 and 5 minute intervals, with the lines and numerals being in relief. The iron strip gnomon is offset from noon and has a single S-shaped supporter. A date within the semicircle around the gnomon root is possibly 1832 and at the top of the dial the remains of a motto, but this is not fully decipherable.
