BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial House, Aldeburgh

Sundial painted onto cement surface of blocked-up window recess. The dial has black furniture on a white background, declines by 10 degrees west and indicates the time from 7am to 5pm with the hours being shown in Roman Numerals. The half hours are marked with a small lozenge shape. The pointed rod gnomon, with a single support, has its origin in the semi-circle of a cast 4 spike sun, above which is a cherub and scrolled pediment. At the lower edge of the sundial the motto, "Semper Fidelis".
