BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Jeweller’s shop, Alnwick

A prominently displayed arched black, white-engraved dial with bevelled edges . A bar gnomon with single supporter. Date as MDCCXXXVII. Initials "I:F" at top of dial. Mounted on S facing wall of the shop above display windows, it must have caught the eyes of a great many passers-by.
