BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Merton College (1), Oxford

High on the East wall of the Fellows’ Quadrangle is a painted stone dial dating from 1974. It shows the hours II - VII undivided and has 5 declination lines marked by their zodiac signs. It is circular in a stone frame measuring 910mm square. The gnomon is fixed to the top left of the frame and has a ball at its tip which acts as the nodus. The dial was designed by Geoffrey Bush, a Junior Research fellow and replaces an earlier dial.
