BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Shoreham-by-Sea

On the south wall. The dial declines 13 deg west, and shows 7am to 6pm [delineated for 5:45 to 5:45] in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IIII. Possible date and initials at top of dialplate. (?MCM??). Lines visible in relief (from earlier protection of paint). Unusual vertical line at Noon from gnomon root. Other lines appear to be drawn only in the chapter ring and then through the numerals. Sturdy bronze surface mounted gnomon with ’S’ supporter.
