BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of St Peter, Westleigh

The slate dial placed centrally on the South transept was made by Carole Vincent and is a worthy successor to the dial it replaces. (The older dial was positioned to the left of centre). It follows the design of the older dial in being octagonal and it declines West showing the hours from 8am to 6pm divided into halves and quarters. It lacks the motto, "Umbra Sumus" (We are a Shadow) of the previous dial but carrries the date 1985 at the top instead. It measures 680mm across.
