BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Wenappa’s Church, Gwennap

On the church porch this slate dial is canted about 52° West to attain a true south alignment. The maker clearly knew what he was about since an inscription across the top reads, ’A South direct dial to every five minutes’, and at the bottom left is ’Lat 50.6’ (a modern map says 50° 13’). In the bottom right hand corner is: ’Mark Ford / fecit 1773’. Shows VI to VI, using XII and IIII. Strip metal gnomon with single ’S’ supporter. The dial is supported by four metal brackets.
