Wellington Square, South Brent

Near the parish church is a pedestal which in 1897 was originally erected elsewhere in the village to hold a street lamp and later acquired a memorial inscription to Queen Victoria. It now carries a brass and steel equatorial dial with the inscription "In memory of my dear husband Rayner. This dial is presented to the village he loved so well.Mrs Elliott 1982". The dial is 300mm in diameter.
