BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

All Saints’ Church, Moreleigh

The slate dial on the church wall has a shape which is quite common, having a central arch and circular finials at either side. This one has lost its right hand finial and is not in the best of condition. It declines East and shows the undivided hours from 5am to 4pm in an unusual mixture of Arabic and Roman numerals. Across the arch is the date 1686. The initials HW which appear on the dial may be those of the churchwarden or, less likely, the maker. It measures 610mmw x 760mmh.
