BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The original dial which is illustrated in Burge’s book on Cornish Church Sundials was surrounded by a wooden frame. It was stolen in 1998 but recovered having been broken. The present dial has no frame but is otherwise identical to the original and shows no sign of damage or repair. It is in fact an excellent replica. Visitors to the church might be interested to note the separate bell tower in the northern part of the churchyard. It is all that remains of the original church.
